In the presentations of famous historians and scientists on the round table- the occasion the reprint of book “Forms of ownership in our middle age history”- light was shed on some aspects of the life and work of young Vladislav F. Ribnikar that weren’t explored

The occasion being the release of the debate of Vladislav F. Ribnikar “forms of ownership in our middle age history’” – a reprint of the book by the founder of “Politika” for which he received the Vidovdan award of the Belgrade municipality in 1891- The Ribnikar Fund organized on January 26. 2005 a round table – “Vladislav F. Ribnikar and his era”.
Greeting the participants of the round table Darko Ribnikar, general director of “Politika” PNM reminded among other things that Vladislav F. Ribnikar started his journey in life in Trstenik and after gaining international experience returned to Belgrade in 1904 and founded “Politika” that has celebrated its 101. birthday. This round table is part of this celebration.
The Ribnikar Fund is a young institution that was founded a year ago with the mission to nurture the tradition of Serbian journalism especially the tradition of “Politika”, who with its work marked the past century.
The founder of “Politika” Vladislav F. Ribnikar had a very broad education and was very gifted and his interests had a wide range- from philology, through philosophy to history, from law to journalism. Because of that the Ribnikar Fund plans to           Darko Ribnikar
gather, systematize, analyze and publish all of his other well known and unknown works- studies, debates, literary work, translations, newspaper articles and commentaries. In the same fashion the rest of the legacy of the Ribnikars will be handled- the brothers Slobodan and Darko that have also in their own way enriched the tradition of Serbian journalism.
A special goal of the fund is to accordingly represent all of these documents and works in the future multimedia centre, which will be a part of the “Politika museum with its extraordinarily abundant fund.
